Cerritos
Cerritos is the best beach for swimming, surfing, hanging out for the day and whale watching.
Barracuda Cantina is a great spot to grab lunch while spending the day on the beach. Costa Azul surf shop and CRT surf school offer surf lessons and surfboard rentals. Cerritos has plenty of Airbnb (condo and houses depending on your group size) and hotel options within walking distance to the beach.
San Pedrito
San Pedrito beach is right after Cerritos there are two entrances- the first entrance is the road that leads to Baja Beans coffee the other entrance is the road alongside the basil fields that lead to Pura Playa. San Pedrito is a popular surf beach, it is swimmable and recommended for more advanced surfers (be careful with currents and rocks) and tends to have bigger waves than Cerritos beach.
Las palmas
Las Palmas is a secluded beach tucked behind a palm grove- it is located at km 58 on the highway. Take the dirt road to the parking lot and then walk through the palm grove to the beach. The currents can be strong here so it is not recommended for swimming but there is a freshwater stream that runs through which is nice for cooling off.
Punta Lobos
Punta Lobos beach at Hotel San Cristobal - watch the fisherman come in on their boats in their afternoon, a sight to see!
